BADELEMENT'S SUSTAINABILITY VISION

Badelement will always be among the industry leaders – including in resource efficiency, recycling, sustainable materials, and energy efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle of our solutions. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be delivering perfection as standard.

We have been working on the sustainability of our products for years. That’s why Badelement is the first to have its modular bathroom pods included in the database of building products that can be included in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction. Badelement’s bathroom pods and service shafts are also included in DGNB-certified construction at the highest levels. We fulfil the requirements for both products and documentation.

Already now, we can document that our bathroom pods meet the CO2 footprint requirements for buildings in 2023. We are actively working based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals to meet the targets and requirements we expect to arise in the future, so that our bathroom pods can continue to be included as standard in sustainable construction.

UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The UN Sustainable Development Goals we focus on the most are 6, 7 and 9. They centre on sustainability in relation to water, energy, and innovation. Within these parameters, we want to be the best.

Rent vand og sanitet6 – CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION

We must take care of our groundwater and use it wisely. At Badelement, we have a clear objective to take care of our shared resources.

We do this by:

  • consistently choosing water-saving solutions in our bathroom pods.
  • entering into strategic partnerships with suppliers who have a sustainable product range and fulfil our high standards and the environmental requirements of the construction industry.

7 – AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY

It’s no secret that the construction industry is challenged when it comes to minimising its carbon footprint. That’s why we work hard to make our production more energy-efficient and choose materials that are manufactured in an energy-sustainable way.

Our strategies include:

  • targeted optimisation of our bathroom pods.
  • well-organised operation of our factories and facilities, taking into account embedded energy and the life cycle of the chosen solutions.
  • preparing independent life cycle analyses in accordance with the requirements of the voluntary sustainability class for buildings.

9 – INDUSTRY, INNOVATION, AND INFRASTRUCTURE

We don’t just want to fulfil minimum green requirements. We want to be forward-thinking and innovative because we believe that a greater focus on sustainability is the way forward. We have calculations and documentation to ensure transparency towards our customers, partners, and users. This means, among other things, that we can present CO2 accounts and life cycle analyses to our customers.

Our methods include:

  • standardising and streamlining the construction process to control material consumption and minimise residual products and waste.
  • Reorganising our transport strategy and reducing unnecessary transport of materials and residues.
