OPTIMIZE LOGISTICS ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE WITH A PLUG & PLAY SHAFT SOLUTION

With prefabricated service shafts – especially in combination with modular bathroom pods – you can fully focus on progress and efficiency on site. Construction is simplified, productivity is increased, and safety is improved.

The contractor’s benefits of using a prefabricated service shaft

Better safety and working environment

Our prefabricated service shafts are manufactured in our own factory in Poland and can be installed as a plug & play solution on site. This reduces design and execution time and eliminates the need for temporary railings and covers. At the same time, you get a safer working environment for workers, avoiding uncomfortable working positions in the shaft areas.

Continuous casting of floor decks

During the construction of the shell, recesses are made for the service shafts, which are cast at the same time as the floor decks. The service shafts are thereby installed in parallel with the construction of the shell. This means that ventilation and heating can be commissioned with the service shaft’s temporary construction flow for drying out the building already after the shell is closed, eliminating the need for interim heating.

Meets all requirements for insulation of technical installations

Unlike traditionally constructed shafts, prefabricated service shafts make construction more efficient because all installations are gathered in one shaft. This eliminates the need for insulators to access all shafts multiple times in order to perform their work according to applicable standards.

Traditionally constructed shafts will also need to be designed 10-15% larger than our prefabricated service shafts, as DS 452 Danish Standard for Thermal Insulation of Technical Installations requires more space between pipes – so the worker can access the insulation on site. This requirement does not apply at our factory, where work processes are optimized for safety and occupational health, including using the 5S model within Lean.

Optimized logistics with fewer workers and materials – no waste

Different construction processes often need to be put together by many different tradesmen, which can present challenges in terms of logistics and material waste.

That’s why it has become common to use prefabricated solutions such as bathroom pods or entire roofs that can be easily installed directly on site.

With prefabricated service shafts, you have another element that can be easily and conveniently installed just-in-time – without material waste on site or the need for temporary heating. Ventilation and heating are commissioned with the service shaft’s temporary construction flow to dry out the building as soon as the shell is closed.

Errors and defects are reduced to a minimum

Because our plug & play solution requires less coordination on site, the risk of errors and defects is minimized. The streamlined production at our own factory in Poland ensures consistent quality and efficient use of resources with minimal waste.

Plug & Play solution – with only approximately 20 work operations

A shaft erected on the construction site has over 300 different work operations. With prefabricated service shafts, the number of on-site operations is reduced to around 20.

Sustainability as standard

All our bathroom pods and service shafts can be included in sustainable construction at the highest levels as standard – it’s in our nature to be at the forefront of future requirements.
